I would like to write a
bit about Ray's life here. There are so many things that he did, so
many places that he saw, so many people that he helped, and so many
people that he influenced.
He has friends around the
world and most of us only knew him during one or two stages of his
life. I would like to try to put the whole picture together. Many
of the stories are legend, many are more private.
Ray had a huge capacity
to love. You could feel it when you were with him. I got the feeling
that even the guys that he served with in the military recognized
his capacity to care and his drive to protect 'his lads'.
Upon first meeting him,
many people felt intimidated. He had the scarey, 'don't mess with
me' look down pat. But let him start telling a story; let him start
talking about his family; let him start talking about someone or something
that he cared about and everyone could see the big heart that he had
learned to conceal behind that stern face.
I would like to present
his amazing life for his family and friends. I would like to provide
a glimpse of the man who was respected, honoured and loved by so many.
I have put some picture
galleries here because they will tell the story better than I can.
I also have some stories from others who knew him.
If you have a story that
you would like me to add... send me an email.
